47 Ronin Update: Keanu Reeves Joined by Japanese Actors

The current development for the new Keanu Reeves movie 47 Ronin is the addition of four Japanese actors into the film. Since the story is a Samurai-based Asian-inspired epic, it is only right that more Asian actors are slated for it. The four actors to act side-by-side Keanu Reeves are Tadanobu Asano, Kou Shibasaki, Rinko Kikuchi, and Hiroyuki Sanada.Hiroyuki Sanada played Dogen in the final season of "Lost". The production crew of 47 Ronin is currently busy building sets and making everything else ready for the first shoot. Keanu Reeves' last movie was Henry's Crime, which is still being shown worldwide.

New Matrix Movies in the Works, Keanu Reeves Returns as Neo

For those who have been a converted Keanu Reeves fan because of The Matrix series, there's two new reasons to rejoice - Keanu Reeves may just star in another two-part movie under The Matrix franchise. Contrary to reports, there are indeed two new Matrix movies in the works.

Keanu Reeves himself said that he met with the Wachowski brothers and they already have a two-part movie script for The Matrix on hand. The meeting happened during the busy Christmas season. They are looking to get James Cameron at the helm, looking at a 3D release of the movie.

The idea is to revolutionize the action genre and make an impact like the first set of The Matrix films. Reports has it that the team would be back on the negotiation table once the Wachowskis are finished with their current film, Cloud Atlas.
