An Oscars Oversight

Keanu Reeves's critics can't help it if the man has a big fan base and has one of the most watched movies even if they say he can't act. In line with the Oscars, the critics of Keanu Reeves says that "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" should have been nominated in the Oscars for the Best Casting award.

They said that the move to pick Keanu as Robin Wright Penn's laconic, obtuse, and slightly wooden lover in the movie is the easiest choice, if not the best. And that the casting director deserved the award.

I'm a great fan of this film. The casting in general is really worth an Oscar, and the character Chris is far from being wooden. When he first appears, he has an outburst of anger, and even if he is not as temperamentful in the other scenes, he is at least quite emotional. Chris is someone with a helper syndrome whom others preyed upon in the past and who did not understand his own situation until quite recently. But finally he has become angry and refuses to comply with other people's wishes.

I think Keanu Reeves gets this across in a quite believable way. It seems that critics who don't like him 1. do not watch his films at all and 2. cannot think of any other negative word than 'wooden'. It gets boring!

i bet if anyone meet keanu who said neg things about him would go just as crazy as his fans. but come on all actors have fans and haters. keanu takes way to much crap. keanu makes amazing movies he is a great actor. and what do people know about being a good actor, i just say let the critics do it and my thoughts the critics would fail big time. actors are actors and critics are just people stating an opinion NOT A FACT. keanu is one of the most famous popular top leading men ever. the critics are just waste their breath
