Keanu Reeves' Cartagena is a $25 Million Production

With the big films coming his way, Keanu Reeves is bound to make his name sizzle like wildfire again in the coming years. After the successful The Matrix series, Keanu would star in big budgeted films such as Cowboy Bebop, 47 Ronin, and now, Cartagena. There were no figures yet about the production of the Jekyll film. But reports has it that Cartagena will have production cost estimate not lower than $25 million. This is not high compared to The Day the Earth Stood Still's $80 million. But it is still a lot of money considering that there will be little to no CGI's on this one. 47 Ronin is going to be big too, with hopes to make it as proud as 300 and Gladiator.

With Keanu at the helm, there's no reason why these movies won't be blockbuster hits. Despite the critics saying he can't act, Keanu's fans continue to flock into the cinemas. All of these movies will earn more than expected for sure - worldwide, if not in the local US market.

Remember that Keanu Reeves' The Day the Earth Stood Still earned some $80 million in the local box office, only enough to break even. But when shown elsewhere, it earned somewhere around $144 million, taking home a grand total of $224 million on the estimate. Keanu's fan base is never at home. So there should be no reason why he just have to listen only to the critics at home.
