The Cowboy Bebop Script Is Too Good it Needs to be Rewritten

Too bad when something too good can't materialize. This is exactly what's happening with Cowboy Bebop, Keanu Reeves' supposed-to-be biggest project after The Matrix series.

Cowboy Bebop is about a space traveling group of friends which Spike Spiegel, played by Reeves, is the leader. Being based on the animation flick, writer Peter Craig had sworn to made a script that's not different from what anime fans have seen on TV.

The problem is, making a live-action film from animation is not that easy - especially with all the props, the backgrounds, and the CG's needed. All in all, Peter Craig's script was perfect it costs half a billion to produce!

So right now, Craig is doing a rewrite so as not to bankrupt the producers and still give justice to the film. Now all anime fans should understand why their beloved show on TV is rarely the exact copy of what they see in the film.

Keanu Reeves Tours Jails for Henry's Crime

Keanu Reeves is out producing his own film, and it's going to be entitled Henry's Crime. The story is written by his friend Sacha Gervasi, the director of Anvil! The Story of Anvil.

What's so controversial about this simple film producing feat of Keanu Reeves is the fact that he asked for access to at least two jail facilities in the Buffalo area.

Authorities say that the Feds can't get inside these jails, why does Keanu Reeves can?

Keanu Reeves' Growing Facial Hair

Keanu Reeves is definitely going over beard, I mean over board with his mustache. He got them doubly thick this time around. In this photo, Keanu was caught by a paparazzi after visiting an art show. If Keanu is doing his best not to be recognized through his disguise, he's terribly mistaken. All the more he's getting people's attention drawn to him because of his beard.

Is this for his Jekyll role or is he simply enjoying the homeless look? Hope he doesn't smell.

Karina Smirnoff Wants to Dance with Keanu Reeves

Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars fame have repeatedly expressed her desire to be dancing partners with Keanu Reeves. But apparently, Keanu is turning a deaf ear. Either he doesn't know anything about it, or his publicists isn't telling him, or he's plainly not interested strutting on stage with Karina or any other pro for that matter.

Karina Smirnoff, when asked who is her ideal dancing partner, outwardly says it's the Matrix star. But she's still kind of hoping that he'll make contact so they can orchestrate a beautiful dance number together.

What had drawn Karina to dance with Keanu we don't know. But Keanu does some little dancing in his movies every now and then. Try to check out The Watcher and The Replacements if you're interested.

A Blonde Keanu Reeves for Constantine 2?

There are rumors about Constantine 2. And the producers are keen in bringing Keanu back. The problem? Fans want Constantine to be blonde, just like in the comic book series. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the producer of Constantine, said that it really won't bother him if Keanu keeps his brunette. It would be up to Keanu if he'd do the role with blond hair.

Di Bonaventura also said that they want the next Constantine movie to be tougher. They are looking to make it a movie with an R rating. The last Constantine would appear weak, as it is given PG 13 in most cinemas.

So, are you ready for a blonde Keanu? Do you think he'll bleach his hair blonde for the role?

Keanu Reeves Have Always Wanted the Wolverine Role

The role of Wolverine went to Hugh Jackman, and he starred in the film four times over. But secretly, Keanu Reeves wants to do the role. He said that he loved the steel claws Wolverine has and his spunky, hot-headed character.

Before the first ever X-men movie was released, there were rumors that Keanu would do Cyclops. But then, when the focus on the film shifted from the X-men leader Cyclops to Wolverine, Keanu has to back out.

Unfortunately, he wasn't offered the Wolverine role. It was given to Hugh Jackman and the rest was history. Up to this day, Keanu still wants the role and he'd take it whenever available. Keanu would have to do with his animation-inspired roles like Cowboy Bepop for the time being.

It's Keanu Reeves Vs. 50 Cent

It has been previously reported that Keanu Reeves will play Jekyll, a modern-day story telling of the classic novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The film is set to be released in 2011. Now, there's another film of the same concept being produced. And this one's going to star 50 Cent and Forrest Whitaker.

If Keanu will play Jekyll and 50 Cent will do the same, there's no question that the two actors and movies will be compared together. It would be a battle of the remakes as well, because the writers would need to come up with a better portrayal of the classic. Whichever comes out better is going to have the edge over the other for sure.

Keanu Reeves to Star in David Fincher's "Chef"

"Chef" is yet another movie in the lineup for Keanu Reeves. This one's going to be a comedy, more particularly a celibate sex comedy like David Fincher puts it. It's a cooking comedy too, by the way.

Keanu was chosen for the role because of his passion in the world of cooking. His dabbling with molecular gastronomy merits his being part of this new film.

However, David is still mum about the whole concept of the movie. He can only provide tidbits about his new film, saying that it's an "aromatic art-form of making food".

Keanu Reeves Fascinated by Molecular Gastronomy

Keanu Reeves may just become a chef, at least that's what he says. Keanu has read Herve This through his first book, Molecular Gastronomy: Exploring the Science of Flavour.

Keanu Reeves is a known book lover and an intellectual. He loves reading when he has free time for it. In fact, he has read "Remembrance of the Things Past" by Marcel Proust. Keanu even read the French version of that book.

When Keanu had read This's book, he said that he doesn't really cook but because of the book's influence, he might just dabble in cooking too. The single book could have change Keanu's life.

Meanwhile, he also is set to star in a movie called "Chef" by David Fincher.

First Hearing for Keanu's Frivolous Paternity Case

Keanu Reeves
is sued for having fathered four children with Karen Sala, a Canadian woman with grow-up children. She still maintains that Keanu is the father of her 20 to 25 year old children and that the truth will come out real soon. She said that Keanu keeps personal contact with her within the past years to make sure that the children are all right. She also tries to settle the problem privately but to no avail. Thus she's suing in court.

On the other hand, Keanu denies all allegations claiming she has never had met the woman or if he had indeed met her before, he never had lived with her nor had any intimate relationship with her enough for him to have kids with her.

Keanu agrees to a DNA testing as per court order. But he also wants Karen's husband to submit his samples. Keanu also maintains that the testing be done at a lab of his choosing in Los Angeles.

Keanu
seeks dismissal of the case with damages. Keanu wants the plaintiff to pay his attorney's fees when the judge dismisses the frivolous claims.

At last, Cowboy Bebop is going to be. Reports has it that the script is slowly materializing. Peter Craig is currently doing the final touches on the script, which means that shooting may start real soon.

Peter Craig said that he is done watching the Cowboy Bebop animated series four times over. Craig also said that he's going to give justice to the anime series the best that he can. The production team that is going to handle the set and the props are making sure that every detail is correct as well. Craig said he's almost done with his first draft.

We are all hoping to see Keanu Reeves acting on the silver screen again. We'd like to see Cowboy Bebop as soon as possible.

The Private Lives of Pippa Lee Showing July 10 in the UK

The Keanu Reeves fans in the UK would have pleasure watching this fresh hunk play as Robin Wright Penn's love interest in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Robin plays a woman in her 50's going through a divorce with her much older husband. He meets Keanu, who is actually a man in his late 20's.

Keanu, with his fresh face and young features, has pulled off the role of a man younger than what he really is. He's more than 40 but his role as a 20 plus man fits him well in this move.

Robin described him as a gentle giant. And that he is the perfect actor to play the character in this film. They are joined by a powerhouse cast of Winona Ryder, Blake Lively, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Julianne Moore.

This is an independent film directed by Rebecca Miller and is based from her novel. The film was first shown at the recently concluded Berlin Festival.

Keanu's Next Firstar Film to be Shot in Delaware

Firstar Films is slating to do a new Keanu Reeves project. They are also looking at New York for the shoot location. But then, when the production executives got a whiff of the Delaware film incentive program, they have decided to switch locations.

Reports has it that they would rather go for the Delaware shoot to save on production costs. This move is also a result of the State's campaign to entice movie producers to prefer their state at their movie's prime location.

The State realizes that film production outfits generate jobs in their locality, as they would have to hire carpenters, electricians, and aides as they go about shooting the film.

This only means that Keanu is Delaware-bound anytime soon. Which film he's making and what its title is yet to be disclosed.

Young Keanu Reeves in The Night Before DVD

Catch young Keanu Reeves in The Night Before and be nostalgic all over again. Keanu Reeves starred in this teen movie in 1988. More than 20 years later, its DVD was released. It's quite an old film, and this DVD copy is certainly long overdue. But if you're a real Keanu Reeves fan, you definitely need to have it in your collection. Lionsgate hit the rubble and came up with the DVD version of this one.

The Night Before is a movie about a teen who woke up in the alley way having no idea why he was actually there. What he remembered is he went to the prom with a girl, Tara. The rest is a blur. Join Keanu, who plays as Winston Connelly, as he search what really happened the night before.

Keanu Reeves Out for Lunch

Keanu Reeves is seen eating lunch out with friends in this photo. He's still sporting that unshaved look of his, together with his overgrown hair. He needs to shave and he badly needs a haircut. But he's not doing anything like those unless he's got some films to shoot.

So for all the rumored Keanu Reeves projects, please keep them moving. We're missing the clean-cut, well-groomed Keanu Reeves. You have to give this man some work so he can look good in front of the cameras. What happened to Cowboy Bebop, 47 Ronin, Cartagena, and Jekyll? Please get the cameras rolling. That's the only valid reason for Keanu Reeves to shed some facial hair.

Keanu Reeves Sued for Child Support

A 46-year-old Canadian woman named Karen Sala is suing Keanu Reeves and is forcing him to give child support for her four grown-up children, who are all aged over 20 years old. Her claim is that Reeves is the father of these kids, and that they were together when they were children in Toronto.

The court received the papers but Keanu says the accusation is false and he doesn’t even know who Sala was. Sala further said that she has been trying to settle the issue in a private manner but Reeves wouldn’t budge. Now she’s in the open to fight for her and her children’s right.

Reeves’ business manager said the woman came from the woodwork and tried to accuse a famous man. No other bogus claims can top this ridiculous one. However, the court is asking for a DNA sample on Reeves and the children for comparison. It can be remembered that Keanu was sued just recently for a paparazzi assault case. That was dismissed by the court easily.

Ian Newton Has No Roles for Keanu Reeves

Ian Newton, previously a social worker now owning an acting company, has met with Keanu Reeves recently. After all the chit-chats, Newton said he is busy working on a new book. And that book is going to be made into a movie too.

Keanu then asked if there were any roles available for him. Flatly, Ian said there is none, for he can't speak the Yorkshire accent. Not taking defeat outright, Keanu tried to imitate a Yorkshire accent. Ian found it entertaining.

Ian Newton's book and story is about a group of Yorkshire middle class working men. If made into a movie, it may take years before it finally hit the big screen.

Keanu Reeves' Cartagena is a $25 Million Production

With the big films coming his way, Keanu Reeves is bound to make his name sizzle like wildfire again in the coming years. After the successful The Matrix series, Keanu would star in big budgeted films such as Cowboy Bebop, 47 Ronin, and now, Cartagena. There were no figures yet about the production of the Jekyll film. But reports has it that Cartagena will have production cost estimate not lower than $25 million. This is not high compared to The Day the Earth Stood Still's $80 million. But it is still a lot of money considering that there will be little to no CGI's on this one. 47 Ronin is going to be big too, with hopes to make it as proud as 300 and Gladiator.

With Keanu at the helm, there's no reason why these movies won't be blockbuster hits. Despite the critics saying he can't act, Keanu's fans continue to flock into the cinemas. All of these movies will earn more than expected for sure - worldwide, if not in the local US market.

Remember that Keanu Reeves' The Day the Earth Stood Still earned some $80 million in the local box office, only enough to break even. But when shown elsewhere, it earned somewhere around $144 million, taking home a grand total of $224 million on the estimate. Keanu's fan base is never at home. So there should be no reason why he just have to listen only to the critics at home.

47 Ronin is Going to be a Big Production

With the many talks about Keanu Reeves' future movies, you can't imagine how he can manage doing all of them. After the Cowboy Bepop script writing activities and the Jekyll plan, Keanu's future film, 47 Ronin will be a big production similar to Gladiator and 300 says Chris Morgan.

It's a samurais and ninjas film, with Chris Morgan doing the inking. Keanu Reeves was specifically chosen to play the lead role because of his half-Asian heritage. Keanu Reeves is half-Lebanese. So the film's Japanese setting would do him good, producers of the movie think.

If this is as big as advertised and if Keanu would really star on it, we can only hope that it really is going to be another block buster for this ninja kicking actor. Maybe they like Keanu's karate outfit and his moves in The Matrix too?

Keanu Reeves The Jekyll

Keanu's portrayal of the classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde won't be much of a big task for him. Why? He has been doing this split personality thing for the last years. Everybody knows Keanu Reeves as the clean-cut actor who never ages in a decade. He has an immaculate face that's the envy of men and women alike. Imagine looking 30 when you're really 44. That's Keanu Reeves. Never a wrinkle on his face. Always fresh and young.

But who's this man with long beard, disheveled hair, and a bad outfit? Isn't that the same person? The same Neo in Matrix who looked so handsome? But why is he walking around the city with a mien of a homeless man?

That's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for you. When off-season, Keanu really works it up like a bum. No trimming of hair, shaving of the mustache, and God knows if he bathes. But he's still the same lovable man. Only Mr. Hyde in the works. No wonder why he got the part.

Keanu Reeves Will Now Play Jekyll

This and the next will be great years for Keanu Reeves, if all the rumored films he's doing would materialize. His next project is Jekyll - a modern-day story telling of a Stevenson classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

The plot and everything else is still locked inside the vault. But it is going to follow the same split personality theme just like the original. Nicolas Winding Refn will direct the film and Justin Haythe is going to write the script.

We surely would like to see Keanu in this type of film, which may be would gain him the recognition he should have gotten by now.

Keanu Reeves for Henry's Crime

Here's another movie buzz for Keanu Reeves. He was noted to be in the cast for Henry's Crime, an mystery-dark romance-comedy flick to be backed up by Company Films. Keanu Reeves himself is going to co-produce the film, along with Stephen Hamel. Hamel also writes the story with the screenplay inked by Sacha Gervasi.

Sacha and Keanu were friends. So it's not going to be hard for anyone of them to ask each other a favor. Sacha has already announced that his next film will be with Keanu Reeves. And if all goes well, Henry's Crime is it.

Keanu supported Sacha all through the premiere screening of Anvil: The Story of Anvil both in the UK and the US where he was the director. Keanu had gladly walked the red carpet for his friend.

The story is the usual man-gets-falsely-accused-of-the-crime-he-didn't-commit setup. But with Keanu Reeves in the lead role, for his fans, it should be an exciting movie to watch out for anyway.

Keanu Reeves' Race at SpeedTV this weekend

SpeedTV is now going to air the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race that occurred April 18 and 19. It is going to be a 6-part special, with the first installment happening this Saturday, May 9 then the following day, May 10. It will be shown every weekends of May thereafter.

Watch Keanu as he raced through the finish line in a strong and steady manner. He's not the leader for most of the race, but the 5-car crash before him gave him the opening to seize the game.

It's going to be an exciting adrenalin rush for both Keanu Reeves and racing fans. So tune in this weekend!

Will Keanu Be Effective for Cartagena?

The movie buzz is so great that Keanu will replace Clive Owen for Cartagena. No problem with the role. Keanu can definitely pull off the cop thing like he did in Street Kings - despite what critics say. The only problem would be Keanu's Caucasian bod.

Keanu is going to play the part of an undercover agent who will infiltrate the illegal drug operations in Cartagena, Colombia. The biggest question would be on the film's realistic flavor.

How can Keanu's skin color, him being white of course, gain the trust of an international Latin drug lord? This is indeed something that the film would have to work on. Clive Owen, on the other hand, has bronze skin. He's fit for the role. Wonder why he has to be replaced in the end?

Even so, Cartagena is going to be one great treat for all Keanu Reeves fans. Hope the movie will push through.

Keanu Reeves and His Private Life

If there's one actor who the press doesn't always like to feature, it would be Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeves' life, love, and personal relationship has always been hidden from the public's attention.

All anyone really know about him is that he's got a still born child with girlfriend Jennifer Syme, who died in a car accident. This is the most tragic episode of Keanu Reeves' life. Not to mention having a sister who's fighting against cancer too. After which, everything else in his personal life has been almost kept to himself.

Keanu is seen dating girls from Claire Forlani, Sandra Bullock, Carrie Ann Moss, China Chow, and just recently, Parker Posey. Even so, Keanu's love life is never made broadcast - not even during interviews. When asked about the status of his relationships, he'd turn the conversation around or outwardly say that no, he can't answer the question.

Like Keanu, all of us has his own life to live. And to live it full, we have to take every second and turn it as a chance to become great. Want something intensely. Then work for it. And you'll definitely succeed. Keanu's life isn't always smooth sailing. His careers has ups and downs. He's got frustrations, failures, and bad moves. But he still is one of the A-list. Why? Because he knows what it is that he wants. And he works for it greatly.

The Technology in Keanu Reeves' Films

Keanu Reeves is easily associated with futuristic films that are filled with technology-laden works. His first film with such a theme would be Johnny Mnemonic, wherein he plays as a human hard drive carrying enormous sensitive data in his head.

This could be why he was given the role of Neo in The Matrix - something everybody associates him with. Who could forget Matrix, the most technologically-advanced film of all time? It's the best one of all too. No other film with the same theme can remove this trilogy from its pedestal.

And more recently, Keanu did The Day the Earth Stood Still, another technology flick that involves the coming of an alien, which Keanu plays.

Technology has always been linked to Keanu Reeves. But all of those are movies. If you want real technology news, you have to visit the authority. Check out more technology news here.

Keanu Reeves for Cartagena

There's another movie brewing up and they're looking at Keanu Reeves to star in it. The film's working title is Cartagena, which is about an undercover agent to take on a job as a drug dealer in Columbia.

Keanu Reeves's cop role in Street Kings might just be the reason why producers think he's just right for the project. However, final negotiations would have to happen. The film's first choice would have been Clive Owen. But for some reason, things have changed and producers want Keanu Reeves. Let's just see if this movie is going to push through towards the actual film production process.

Keanu Reeves Takes Critics' Views Seriously

Much have been said with his acting. Critics say Keanu Reeves is a wooden, lifeless actor. And in all cruelty, they said that he is not much of the actor that he thinks he is. Not even his role as a non-feeling alien in The Day the Earth Stood Still garnered much praise - even if they had previously said that he is good at playing a cold individual.

Keanu Reeves can never please the critics. Especially not now when anime fans are threatening to kill Fox for giving the Spike Spiegel role to Keanu for the live action film Cowboy Bebop. Critics don't like Keanu Reeves much. But he's patiently giving them a time of his day.

When interviewed about movie critics, producer writer Robin Wright Penn of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee said that she is never a believer of critics as they never went to a critic's school anyway. But Keanu thinks otherwise. He said that a critic's view is very crucial. He said that they're like drops, which will eventually make an ocean.

Keanu didn't feel much the same for his music though, especially when he joined Dogstar. As for music critics, he can only shrug his shoulders and say, "Whatever".This only shows that his passion for films is greater than his passion for music. We can only hope that the day arrives when Keanu Reeves finally earns the nods of his own detractors.

Constantine 2, Anyone?

Keanu Reeves starred in Constantine. And he had said he wouldn't mind doing another Constantine movie. This is good news for all fans out there. However, when will the sequel be done, if it will ever be done?

Reports for Constantine 2 happened as early as months after the film was shown worldwide. In 2005, Constantine raked in $230 million worldwide - enough for the producer to look forward in doing a sequel. But a year later, plans have changed and a sequel wouldn't be done. Instead, a prequel is in the works.

It's 2009 now and everything still in the planning stages. There's supposed to be a team of writers working on the script already. But recent reports says that producer Lauren Shuler Donner is still looking for one. Well, it might just take them a few more years to get this movie plan going.

Keanu Reeves Donated $10,000 to Charity

Keanu was able to give $10,000 to the kids, via the Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix held last weekend. The race was for charity and each participating celebrity was paid not to add up to their own bank account, but to the kid's charity as chosen by the race's sponsor.

However, the winning celebrity racer gets additional $5,000 to his/her choice of charity. Keanu was the rightful winner. So he gets to choose which charity would go the money to. That makes him a donor of a total of $10,000 just by participating and winning the recently concluded race.

Keanu had fun in the event. More than winning, he enjoyed the #11 Toyota Scion tC car that he used for the event. He because of the 5-car pile up that happened during the race, causing the leader Danny Way and four others to lose bid in the competition.

Congratulations once again Keanu!

The Winning Car: Keanu Reeves at the Toyota Grand Prix

Keanu won the 2009 Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix riding a dark blue of course, Toyota car with his name across the windshield. The event happened last weekend, April 17 and 18. Keanu's race was on Saturday. He finished first in the celebrity event and 4th overall, including the pro-drivers. Much have been said about Keanu winning the race. But there hasn't been too many shots of his car. Well I looked far and low to find Keanu Reeves driving, sitting, or even standing next to his winning car. I found some. And I'll definitely share them to you. Keanu's as dreamy as his car.

Keanu Reeves Wins the 2009 Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix

It wasn't much of a shocker. But not everybody had expected it either. Keanu Reeves won the Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix of 2009 last Saturday. It was a big day for the motorcycle racer, now a certified speed car racer, Keanu Reeves.

Keanu Reeves drove through 10 laps in a span of 21:46.973 enough to win the celebrity title. His closest rival, and the player most favored to win, Danny Way crashed into the tire barrier allowing Keanu to pull up and move away from the others to seal the deal.

Keanu was elated, he even claimed he went into a shock when he realized his impending victory. The turn of events made Keanu a real speed racer, very much the man who played Officer Jack Traven in his well-loved action movie with Sandra Bullock. Maybe the Matrix man also knew how to dodge bullets?

Keanu Reeves is Not Selling His Bass Guitar

Keanu Reeves DogstarWhen Keanu Reeves was spotted last week at the Anvil! The Story of Anvil premiere at Los Angeles, reporters can't help but ask a few questions to this Hollywood actor who graced the red carpet.

One question is about his personal association to the film, being once a rock band member himself. Dogstar, as his former band is known, has been dissolved years ago. Keanu Reeves played as the band's bassist, a feat that had forced him to go off the Hollywood limelight for a few years really.

That's the time Keanu Reeves turned down Speed 2 and a lot of other movie offers. He would rather take tours around the globe with his band. The move didn't do much for him though. Dogstar's gone and he's back to Hollywood, making films and movies again, thank God. However when asked, Keanu reiterated that no, he's not selling his bass guitar. Could it be an indication that he might just go back to playing again?

Keanu Reeves for Passengers

Keanu Reeves PassengersThere's another science fiction movie lined up for Keanu Reeves. However, this one's still in the script level. It might take a few more revisions and editing before the actual filming began - not to mention that Keanu still has a couple of movies to do lined up this year and the next.

The film is tentatively entitled Passengers, wherein Keanu would play as man traveling in a spaceship on autopilot. Keanu is suspended or asleep during the entire travel, which would actually take hundreds of years. However, he woke up a century too early. And that means he wouldn't reach the destination and would die in the spaceship alone. That's why he created a cyberwoman to be his company. That's where the story winds up.
